Trailer

Connecting different transportation links and achieving spatial transfer of goods
Trailer service is a type of logistics transportation service that mainly refers to the use of specialized trailers (also known as tractors, trailers) to transport cargo containers, trailers, etc. to designated locations. It is common in logistics transportation, especially in the import and export of goods and domestic long-distance transportation.
Trailer services play an important role in connecting different transportation links and achieving spatial transfer of goods in logistics transportation, which is of crucial significance for ensuring the smooth operation of the supply chain and timely delivery of goods.

  • Port and yard transportation:

In international trade, goods are usually transported in the form of containers. After the container arrives at the port, the trailer will transport the container from the terminal yard to the warehouse, factory or other location designated by the shipper, or transport the container filled with goods from the shipper to the port terminal yard for loading and export. For example, in Shenzhen Port, there are a large number of trailers shuttling between the port and surrounding logistics parks and factories every day, transporting import and export containers.

  • Inland transportation:

In domestic transportation, trailers can be used to transport goods between different cities and regions. Some large logistics companies use trailers to transport trailers to long-distance destinations, and then local vehicles are used for distribution. For example, the transportation of goods from Beijing to Shanghai may first be towed by trailers to the logistics center in Shanghai, and then distributed within the city.

  • Special cargo transportation:

For some special goods with large volume and heavy weight, such as large mechanical equipment, engineering components, etc., ordinary vehicles cannot transport them and special trailers need to be used for transportation. These special trailers are usually specially modified to carry overweight, ultra wide, and ultra high cargo, and ensure the safety and stability of the cargo during transportation.

  • Accident rescue and towing of faulty vehicles:

On the road, when a vehicle malfunctions or is unable to operate normally due to an accident, towing services can tow the malfunctioning or accident vehicle to a repair shop or designated location. For example, when a car breaks down on a highway, the owner can call for roadside rescue towing services to tow the vehicle away from the scene, avoiding affecting traffic order and personal safety.

  • Customs supervision of transportation:

During the import and export process of goods, for some goods that require customs supervision, trailer service providers need to transport them in accordance with customs regulations and requirements, using supervised vehicles registered with customs, and ensure the safety and integrity of the goods during transportation, accepting customs inspection and supervision.
